Our client is a global pharmaceutical company with a century-long legacy of advancing health through science. With operations in 35 countries and a workforce of approximately 4,000, the Company’s business spans innovative medicines as well as branded products, generics, and animal health. The Position We are recruiting a
Director, Global Analytics & Insights
to lead forecasting, competitive intelligence and market research for oncology and pain markets. You will be an integral strategic partner to Global New Product Development, Market Access, and Business Development. You will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions through data-driven insights across global markets. This role requires a strong strategic mindset, expertise in data analytics platforms, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to senior leadership to support necessary decisions to drive growth. We have a lean team, hence, your role will require hands‑on execution of final deliverables.
Location:
This is a hybrid role; MA or NY Metro area is preferred.
Travel Requirement:

How You Will Contribute Forecasting
Serve as a strategic business partner by driving forecast strategy and providing data‑driven insights to inform the broader asset strategy
Implement best‑in‑class forecast modeling approaches and actively evaluate current forecasting processes/methodologies for opportunities to enhance capabilities, with a focus on accuracy and agility
Effectively communicate modeling assumptions and results to key stakeholders
Triangulate and pressure‑test assumptions with various data sources and models, and develop what‑if scenarios
Integrate insights from primary research, competitive intelligence, and analytics to inform the forecast; collaborate across internal teams to gather the best possible assumptions
Insight Generation
Translate quantitative and qualitative market research into actionable insights that inform asset strategy across global markets
Deliver compelling, executive‑level presentations that shape strategic direction
Define appropriate market research methodologies, consistent with business goals
Competitive Intelligence
Lead competitive analysis to assess market dynamics, competitors and emerging threats
Align with the internal stakeholders on key intelligence questions and key intelligence topics to be utilized for conference coverage
Set up a repository of competitive intelligence data for consumption by stakeholders across the organization
Manage relationships with US and ex‑US market research and intelligence vendors, ensuring alignment with business needs, compliance guidelines, and quality standards
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
8+ years of experience in data analysis, market research, competitive intelligence, and/or strategic insights within or as a consultant to the healthcare industry, possessing extensive knowledge of global biopharmaceutical market dynamics.
Oncology experience required; Global experience highly preferred
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at different levels of the organization and support/influence decisions as a business partner
Knowledge of secondary data sets including claims, EMR, specialty pharmacy data required; advanced Excel modeling experience required; familiarity with forecasting methodologies and quantitative techniques including smoothing, regression, patient flow modeling, Monte‑Carlo simulations
Strong understanding of all types of market research methodologies, with experience of conducting both quantitative and qualitative market research with healthcare providers, patients, and payors; ability to execute a project from end‑to‑end, including creation of requests for proposal, strong quantitative analytical skills and data analysis
Knowledge and experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., prescription and sales data, patient claims data, promotional audits, secondary reports)
Experience working directly within or partnering with related functions including new product planning, market access, business development, and finance
Understanding of clinical development process and reimbursement environment across key regions – US, EU, Japan
Strong project management skills a must, including the ability to plan, organize and execute multiple projects independently, on time and within budget
