Monterey, Inc. is seeking a Urologist to provide comprehensive urology services at the Martinsburg, WV VA Medical Center.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical urology services including evaluating and treating patients in a Urological outpatient setting.
Consult with patients, coordinate referrals, perform cystoscopies, surgeries and other related urology procedures.
Conduct patient rounds for urological patients.
Perform cystoscopies, vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, transurethral surgeries for prostate disease and bladder cancer.
Be present and on time for scheduled clinics and surgeries as documented by physical presence at start time.
Period of Performance: 6‑month base 12/1/2025‑5/31/2026 with four 6‑month renewal options available.
Schedule: Full‑time, 8A‑4:30P Mon‑Fri, call required 10 days per month, two days over a weekend.
Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Medicine or equivalent in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Licensure and certification: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States; ABU certification; BLS, ACLS or equivalent and DEA required.
Experience: Technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements.
English Language Proficiency: Proficiency in basic written and spoken English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(f).
Background/security investigation required.
Urinalysis screening required prior to appointment; refusal results in denial.
Pass pre‑employment physical examination.
Complete online onboarding process.
May be required to complete a probationary period.
Compliance with VA vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID‑19.
Selective Service Registration required for males born after 12/31/1959.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
