Job Overview
GI Alliance is seeking an experienced CRNA for as needed PRN. The role includes providing high quality, versatile anesthesia care under the direct supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities
Perform all aspects of airway management.
Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by evaluating patient response, selecting, ordering, and administering medications and fluids to maintain patient stability during transfer.
Initiate and administer post‑anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system.
Initiate and administer respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation during the post‑anesthesia period.
Provide post‑anesthesia follow‑up evaluation and care.
Discharge patient from the post‑anesthesia care unit.
Closely support and monitor life functions; in the case of an adverse response to any drug, take corrective action.
Terminate anesthesia in a timely fashion, ensuring patient safety to post‑anesthetic recovery room.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) required. Valid CRNA certification required.
Experience: Minimum of two years progressive work experience in a multispecialty physician group model preferred.
Performance Requirements: Ability to transport patients in stretchers to various rooms/locations; perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist on a regular basis; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clinical staff; demonstrate knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate care for patients; knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques; assess data reflective of patient requirements relative to population‑specific needs; proficient technical (computer) skills; multi‑task and prioritize; self‑motivated with initiative; strong sense of ethics; manage conflict and resolve problems.
