Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight. This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle. Its first stage is fully reusable and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. You will be part of the teams developing flight software and tools for various spaceflight systems and will contribute to safety-critical real-time embedded software development across vehicle avionics and ground systems. You will be responsible for requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing of software components and tools essential for the success of New Glenn’s mission. If relocating to an approved Blue Origin site, relocation assistance is offered. Responsibilities
Work on vehicle avionics and ground systems software; participate in requirements definition, design, implementation, integration, and testing of software components and tools; contribute to safety-critical real-time embedded software development across spaceflight systems. Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related subject area. 8+ years of experience writing software in C, C++, and Python. 5+ years of experience in embedded software, kernel development, BSPs or other systems software components. Solid understanding of operating systems and network protocols. Experience working with real-time systems and developing software that interfaced directly with hardware and programmable logic. Preferred Qualifications
M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field. Experience with safety-critical software development in aerospace, automotive or other industries. Working knowledge of control systems. Compensation and Benefits
