PeaceHealth has a newly posted position for a BC/BE General Surgeon as the team expands to join the team at Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington—a suburb of Portland, Oregon. Why you will love the position
Supportive colleagues and opportunity for growth. General Surgery is imbedded in a larger department that includes Trauma/ACS, Vascular and Colorectal Surgeons with a full clinic staff of RNs, MAs and 2 schedulers. ICU and Hospitalist teams and a full complement of specialists are available. We also have medical students rotate through. No call other than weekend rounding which is shared with the General Surgeons. ACS takes first call overnight and weekends. Good support team in the clinic with a team who has longevity. Excellent OR and Cath Lab staff. DaVinci Xi robots. Block OR time two days per week with ease to have add-ons. Two clinic days per week. Endo is a possibility, if interested. EPIC EMR. The Emergency Department is the busiest in Southwest Washington, caring for over 85,000 patients annually. 24/7 Hospitalist team provides hospital care and call coverage and there is a nurse phone‑triage team. Over 1,100 active medical providers with most specialty services provided locally. The Kearney Breast Center was accredited as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and the American College of Radiology.
