Our client, a fast-growing apparel company, is looking for a Design Director - Baby to join their team in NYC!
Base pay range $170,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Direct the creative vision and seasonal assortments for baby apparel (girls, boys, and unisex), ensuring trend‑right, commercial designs.
Partner with sales teams to deliver buyer and trend presentations, supporting line adoption and retailer engagement.
Collaborate with licensing partners and cross‑functional teams to develop cohesive, brand‑right collections.
Integrate off‑price strategies and baby accessories into assortments to drive growth across multiple channels.
Qualifications
10+ years of design and merchandising experience in baby apparel; strong knowledge of both boys’ and girls’ categories.
Proven experience presenting to buyers and working directly with retail accounts.
Licensing and off‑price channel experience required; baby accessories experience a plus.
Strong leadership, communication, and trend analysis skills with ability to balance creativity and business needs.
