Overview A leading organization in the Maritime industry is seeking a QA Manager to lead and mature its Quality Assurance operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role overseeing offshore QA resources while driving automation, process efficiency, and testing excellence. Over time, the position will transition QA operations from offshore to a fully in‑house model. The ideal candidate has strong technical QA expertise, experience managing distributed teams, and a proven track record ensuring smooth and reliable software releases.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage offshore QA resources to ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables.
Oversee all QA operations including test planning, execution, automation, and release readiness.
Design and maintain QA frameworks, use cases, smoke tests, and test cases for product releases.
Develop and manage Selenium automation scripts and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to uphold software quality and consistency.
Drive QA process improvement and implement best practices across teams.
Lead the long‑term initiative to transition QA operations from offshore to in‑house, including hiring and training future team members.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to QA professionals both onshore and offshore.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of QA experience, including 2–3 years in a QA management or lead capacity.
Proven success managing and coordinating offshore QA teams.
Strong hands‑on experience with Selenium scripting and QA automation frameworks.
Expertise in creating and executing test cases, smoke tests, use cases, and QA documentation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to balance strategic management with hands‑on QA execution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience transitioning QA functions from offshore to internal teams.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, modern QA methodologies, and automation tools.
