The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure cost efficiency, and support new product introductions while maintaining AS9100 compliance.
Responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager:
Lead Process Development:
Oversee manufacturing process development, CNC and CMM programming, tool and fixture design, and validation to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
Drive Operational Excellence:
Champion process improvements, set‑up reduction, and visual standard work to achieve cost reduction, productivity, and lead time goals.
Support New Product Development:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure cost‑effective manufacturing of new or revised products, including labor, materials, tooling, and equipment.
Manage Engineering Resources:
Evaluate and prioritize engineering requests, ensuring feasibility and optimal resource allocation while maintaining AS9100 compliance.
Lead Continuous Improvement:
Drive Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and other initiatives to support organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.
Budget and Capital Management:
Prepare and manage departmental budgets, control expenses, and justify capital equipment investments for operations.
Team Leadership:
Guide and direct personnel in the Model Shop, Tool Room, and Tool Crib, ensuring adherence to company policies and compliance with applicable agreements.
