Solutions Engineer - Cleared. Our customer base is growing, and you will be on the front lines to ensure that the world's most innovative companies and governments become passionate Scale partners. We are looking for creative, action-oriented Solutions Engineers who are excited to solve tough problems with an AI-first mindset. You will drive growth in our federal business by enhancing existing initiatives and creating new opportunities for dual-use technologies that serve both commercial and government needs. What you'll do
Be an expert on Scale products and technologies. Create tailored demonstrations and collateral for federal and select international stakeholders across the executive to analyst level. Partner with Scale Deployment Strategists to build relationships, advance business opportunities, and deliver customer pilots guided by their requirements. Interact with customers on a day-to-day basis to understand their pain points and design solutions. Research their problem space and procure relevant data to build impactful demonstrations of Scale product offerings. Leverage creative problem-solving skills to design and implement innovative solutions that push the boundaries of Generative AI and Computer Vision technologies, turning complex challenges into actionable applications. Work with internal product and engineering teams to turn customer requirements into Scale capabilities through prototyping, product management, and cross-functional collaboration. Understand public sector mission sets and strategic objectives to best showcase Scale's products. Ideally you'd have
Active US Government Security Clearance Strong preference for a SE based in the Washington, DC area. Open to other locales. Technical background, preferably in computer science, statistics, mathematics, machine learning, or other quantitative fields. Creative bias — able to think outside the box, connect cross-domain ideas, and develop unique solutions while grounding innovation in solid technical expertise. Strong communication skills — ability to interact with both technical and non-technical customers at all levels. Comfort with technology, able to quickly pick up new tech stacks and troubleshoot complex systems. Previous experience working with Public Sector customers across National Security, Federal Civilian, and International partner communities. Proficiency in common scripting languages such as Python, YAML, or other data analysis / application-building languages. A strong desire to roll up your sleeves and help build a business in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time. Nice to have
Background in applied AI/ML, particularly Generative AI / Large Language Models or Computer Vision. Compensation and benefits
Compensation packages include base salary, equity, and benefits. The salary range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires for this position based on location and other factors. Eligible roles may receive equity-based compensation. Your recruiter can share the salary range for your location during hiring, and confirm equity eligibility. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous PTO. Additional benefits may include a commuter stipend. The base salary range for this full-time position in the Washington DC location is: $132,000 — $170,775 USD. PLEASE NOTE
