What to Expect We are seeking a Construction Superintendent with expertise in electrical and controls work for an active manufacturing facility. The role involves overseeing electrical and controls projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and industry compliance. The Superintendent will collaborate with project teams to minimize downtime, deliver high-quality projects, and enforce safety protocols. Strong leadership and technical skills, along with experience in industrial electrical systems and control installations, are required. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and a hands-on approach to project execution are essential for success in this role.
What You'll Do
Understand construction sequences, review designs for constructability, and troubleshoot, walk down, and resolve field issues
Quickly respond to queries and resolve technical barriers to project completion
Develop, communicate, and improve upon plans for logistics and other project aspects while interfacing with engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning teams
Promote a safe and quality-driven culture across both project and company-wide activities
Coach and mentor counterparts and subordinates on excellence in the construction industry
Develop templates and standards to improve team performance
Drive schedule completions safely, on time, and within budget while leading, mentoring, and developing a growing team of electricians and superintendents
What You'll Bring
0-4 years of experience as electrical superintendent, as electrical foreman, journeyman electrician on large commercial or industrial construction projects
Prior people/team management experience and ability to communicate effectively with contractors, understand quotations, and timelines associated with project development
Experience with power, controls, fire alarm and network scopes.
Understanding of estimating, plans reading, document control
Excellent written and verbal communication
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70
Electrical Tool Install experience is a plus
