NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST – FULL TIME
at JFK University Medical Center, Plainfield, New Jersey. The role performs technical procedures, image acquisition and the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease. Responsibilities
Perform radionuclide procedures on patients, including organ imaging, function studies and assist the physician with therapeutic use of radioisotopes. Select and operate nuclear medicine equipment as directed. Provide radiation protection for self and patient per prescribed safety. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to the patient and prepare radioactive tracer compounds for patient use. Calibrate equipment and assay radionuclides. Receive and inspect radiopharmaceutical packages according to state and NRC guidelines. Maintain adequate records of radioisotope receipt, use, storage and disposal per state and federal regulations. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness, ensuring contamination‑free conditions of room, equipment and personnel. Follow all NRC, State DEP, JCAHO guidelines/practices. Evaluate images using PACS workstation for diagnostic value. Rotate work assignments as needed in Nuclear Cardiology and PET/CT. Perform required daily clerical duties using EPIC, PACS, Teletracking System, Nuclear Medicine Information System and patient scheduling. Responsible for scheduled shifts including holidays and weekends; overtime and on‑call assignments as needed. Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms. Minimum one year of nuclear medicine experience (preferred). American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT,N) and/or CNMT Registry. Nuclear Medical Technologist NJ State License. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (BLS) Certification within 60 days of entering position. Compensation
Minimum rate of $43.63 per hour. Benefits
