Job Overview This position is the point of contact for plasma operations at the Plasma Logistics Center where the incumbent receives raw materials (plasma) from donor centers and controls the flow of materials until they are sent for fractionation, using forklifts and other material handling equipment. As a skilled specialist using the Plasma Management System (SGP), this position supports Supply Chain related projects and provides guidance to peers. This position is responsible for controlling raw material inventory throughout receipt, classification, and distribution.
Primary responsibilities for the role:
Responsible to unload plasma shipments, identify and sort types of plasma, and enter receipts into the Plasma Management System (SGP)
Inspect equipment for damage and determine suitability for further use in production (crates, pallets)
Use Radio Frequency Terminal (RFT) equipment to control and monitor the movements of inventory within all freezer and warehouse locations.
Locate plasma by verifying and pulling material from freezer work orders
Identify and remove unsuitable plasma units from processed production units (PU’s) and consolidated lots.
Assist Classification area by managing plasma that is rejected or relocated from the inspection line
Responsible for maintaining CGMP compliance by insuring a high level of cleanliness and organization.
Complies with all company policies/SOPs/cGMP/OSHA/EHS requirements
Able to work occasional overtime
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
One year experience in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or other FDA licensed Industry is desirable.
Experience working with cGMPs and Industry Standards desirable
Experience in reading, understanding, and following Standard Operating Procedures desirable
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
To be able to multi task in warehouse environment.
Possess good organization skills
Knowledge of cGMP preferred.
Certified forklift driver
Occupational Demands:
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and electronically with management and other team members
Able to safely and effectively operate a forklift to store plasma in the freezer and transport throughout the warehouse.
Able to safely and effectively operate Electric pallet jack/Rider Electric pallet jack
Able to repeatedly lift 25 to 50 lbs. throughout the shift
Able to work in extreme temperature of -30C or colder
Able to work with minimum supervision and follow detailed directions
Ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Ability to interpret and follow written procedures.
Capable of performing basic math and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook
