The Field Service Installation Specialist will perform difficult electronic or mechanical assembly and installation tasks. This position involves the assembly of systems, equipment, or complex devices, often in the absence of established procedures. The role primarily installs equipment at overseas locations and requires extensive travel for extended stays.

Responsibilities

Perform difficult electronic or mechanical assembly operations in test or remote site environments where a high degree of versatility and skill is essential.

Take the product from the initial stages through final assembly, carrying out all required electronic and mechanical assembly and installation processes.

Operate with premium skills, utilizing necessary tools and equipment to ensure maximum product quality on complex assemblies.

Read, understand, and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, wire lists, and sketches.

Perform assembly of equipment, alignment, adjustment, and calibration of electro‑mechanical components of complex equipment.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Report quality problems or defects to supervisor or senior management to enable corrective action and prevention of recurrence.

Qualifications

Five years of related assembly experience.

Thorough knowledge of assembly techniques and tools, with an understanding of assembly theory.

High School diploma or equivalent GED. Good mathematical ability and ability to read and understand schematics and mechanical drawings required.

Active or recently active DoD issued Secret Clearance.

Precision and control in work, where damage or scrap could be of considerable loss.

Capability to calculate measurements using shop mathematics.

Take verbal instructions with minimum supervision.

Working Conditions This position works in a production and customer site environment with the risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds is required.

Travel Up to 75% travel required.
