As a Senior Director, Business Development at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in leading and driving Honeywell's mergers and acquisitions strategy for the Building Automation (BA) Strategic Business Group (SBG). You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential acquisition and partnership opportunities in the Building Automation industry, conducting detailed market analysis, identifying potential synergy levers, and building the deal financial model. Your strategic vision, leadership skills, and ability to drive successful M&A outcomes will be essential in contributing to the growth and success of Honeywell. Responsibilities
Collaborate with business Presidents and other strategy team members to identify areas for inorganic expansion Define the annual M&A strategic priorities in the Strategic Plan (STRAP) by gathering input from business leaders, offering leaders, and senior executives Identify and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities via ongoing relationship building with Honeywell’s investment banking partners and participating in industry conferences, internal BA product road mapping, and leadership engagement Maintain an ongoing pipeline of M&A opportunities Lead and mentor a team of direct reports and business stakeholders on live M&A deals in developing market models, identifying value creation synergies, and evaluating targets’ standalone portfolio Own multiple parallel acquisition theses Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful M&A outcomes Qualifications
8+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A consulting, or corporate strategy Proven track record of successfully leading M&A transactions Strong leadership and team management skills Expertise in synergy modeling and market analysis techniques Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field MBA or other advanced degree Experience in building automation, industrials, or enterprise technology Experience in business development or sales leadership roles Strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders Ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Experience in strategic partnerships and relationship management Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Benefits
