Senior Superintendent – Large‑Scale Commercial & Industrial Projects
Location: Nationwide (Home office location flexible; extensive travel required)
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Senior Superintendent
to lead large‑scale commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record managing complex ground‑up builds and remodels, including projects that remain operational during construction. This role requires a strategic leader capable of supervising 100+ personnel, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all on‑site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Supervise and coordinate a diverse workforce of 100+ personnel, including subcontractors, trade labor, and internal teams. Develop and implement project schedules, monitor critical paths, and allocate resources to mitigate delays. Enforce and maintain strict safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and company standards. Collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers, and stakeholders to manage budgets, change orders, and client expectations. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance. Maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders and resolve conflicts proactively. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
Required Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience supervising commercial construction projects as a Superintendent. Proven ability to manage large‑scale projects, including remodels and ground‑up construction, with 100+ personnel. Experience managing projects that remain operational during construction (active remodels). Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willingness and ability to travel nationally for extended project durations.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. OSHA 30‑Hour Certification or higher. Proficiency with construction management software (ProCore, Bluebeam, AutoDesk).
Benefits Compensation: $120,000‑$180,000 annually, paid weekly, based on experience. Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Accident, and Voluntary Life Insurance (effective the first of the month following 30 days). Company‑Paid Benefits: Basic Life Insurance, Short‑Term Disability, and Long‑Term Disability (effective the first of the month following 30 days). Retirement Plan: 401(k) with company match of 50% of contributions after one year of employment. Paid Time Off: Up to two weeks of vacation annually, accrued per pay period. Sick Leave: Up to five sick days (40 hours) per year, available immediately. Holidays: Eight paid company holidays annually. Allowances/Reimbursements (weekly): Auto $115.38, Fuel $100, Mobile Phone $16.16. Per Diem: Provided while traveling; travel home every other week covered or reimbursed.
