Responsibilities
Report project progress to Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer and Project Manager
Design the packaging and components for packaging that are assigned out by the Senior Graphic Designer or Art Director
Adaptation and localization of packaging and visual development, branding, and logo design for all SKUs
Follow branding and print setup rules established by the Senior Graphic Designer or Art Director
Localize components that are assigned out by the Senior Graphic Designer or Art Director
Coordinate with the Localization Teams and Senior Graphic Designer to facilitate handoff of files and a smooth localization workflow
Output files that meet print quality standards and uphold established branding rules
Participate in regular Creative meetings with other stakeholders
Hand off final proofing production files for print as directed by the Senior Graphic Designer, Art Director, Project Manager and/or Prepress
Qualifications
Strong skills with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
Strong print production skills, working with overprinting and setting up press-ready PDFs
Good typesetting skills
Familiarity with Localization processes
Familiarity with complex printing techniques such as white underprints, spot foils, etc.
Detail-oriented and can self-manage the moving parts of an evolving creative pipeline
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Finds solutions to creative challenges
Collaborative and active team player
Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
Native speaker of Japanese for print and digital products
Current knowledge of Japan regional marketing and communication best practices
Experience 2+ years working on trading cards, collectible cards or merchandise.
