Role Overview

As a Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll lead the design, development, and optimization of metal AM processes that meet the highest standards for aerospace and defense applications. This role is highly collaborative and hands‑on. You’ll work cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver AS9100‑compliant flight hardware while engaging directly with customers to engineer advanced solutions that accelerate their missions.

What You’ll Do

Define, develop, and implement end‑to‑end additive manufacturing processes for flight hardware. Collaborate across engineering, quality, and production to ensure precision and on‑time delivery. Partner with customers to design and optimize AM components and build long‑term relationships. Apply DfAM principles to improve part performance, cost, and manufacturability. Support R&D programs and cross‑departmental innovation initiatives. Enhance reliability and performance of industrial AM equipment. Define, document, and maintain AS9100 quality procedures and best practices. Stay current with emerging AM technologies, materials, and industry standards.

What You Bring

B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (M.S. preferred). 2+ years of hands‑on experience in metal additive manufacturing (DMLS or equivalent). Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and GD&T. Strong grasp of thermal‑mechanical systems, materials science, and metallurgy. Familiarity with Aerospace Quality Standards (AS9100) and documentation practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.

Why Join

Work on real flight hardware that supports next‑generation space and defense missions. Be part of a fast‑growing, hands‑on engineering culture where your ideas make an impact. Collaborate with experts across design, materials, and production to advance the frontiers of metal 3D printing. Access career development opportunities, advanced AM technologies, and a mission‑driven environment that values curiosity and continuous learning.
