Responsibilities

Must be able to program complex parts and surfaces using MasterCam software and prove out the programs. Provide programming support to other CNC operators of all levels. Design, build, and modify complex fixtures, prototype tooling, assemblies, and production parts. Perform complete manual G‑Code programming at the machine for one‑offs and on‑demand parts. Use K&N’s network and BMS to retrieve, edit, and save programs to the proper MasterCam program folders on the network. Set up, operate, and keep various CNC machine tools (lathes and mills) running while monitoring parts. Adjust offsets, location, inserts, cutting tools, and make cutter compensation adjustments to maintain required part dimensions within tolerances. Inspect parts, verify tolerances, and tear down setups to return tooling to proper locations for the next setup. Load proper cutting tools and set up required tooling fixtures, vises, and other holding apparatuses for the job. Clean up in and around the machines and maintain proper fluid levels. Communicate proposed changes and ideas with the Machine Shop Supervisor and Engineering Manager to increase machining efficiency, output, and part quality. Adhere to and follow all K&N safety procedures and continuously work and operate all machinery in a safe manner. Qualifications

5‑7 years machining and programming experience. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and use common machine shop measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to inspect and qualify machined parts. Knowledge of machine shop practices. Previous programming experience using MasterCam software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a 1‑on‑1 or team environment. Ability to follow verbal directions, meet output expectations, and maintain good attendance.
