We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic
SEO & Website Content Senior Manager
to lead our SEO program and website content strategy. This role will drive organic traffic growth, improve search visibility, optimize website performance, and ensure engaging content that converts target audiences.
The 37.5‑hour work week is scheduled Monday through Friday, core hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Hybrid schedule: three days in Lincoln office, two days remote.
This role does not offer employment visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy and roadmap to drive qualified organic traffic and improve keyword rankings.
Conduct keyword research, site audits, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
Monitor and report on SEO performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Oversee technical SEO efforts, ensuring website health, crawlability, site speed, structured data, indexing, and overall site performance align with best practices and search engine guidelines.
Assess and integrate GEO and AEO principles into SEO strategy to optimize for AI‑driven search ecosystems.
Stay current on AI search trends and generative content optimization techniques to ensure ongoing adaptability and competitive advantage.
Website Content Management
Lead website content strategy and ensure alignment with brand messaging, business objectives, and user needs.
Oversee the content calendar, working with internal teams and external partners to produce engaging, SEO‑optimized copy.
Manage the content development process, ensuring ideas progress from conception to execution while partnering with internal teams.
Partner to manage updates and enhancements to website pages, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and best‑in‑class UX.
Collaborate with designers, writers and developers to launch new pages, features, and landing pages that support campaigns.
Leadership & Collaboration
Manage a small team responsible for content strategy, SEO, and web publishing.
Collaborate closely with several teams to make an impact.
Stay ahead of industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies—including AI search and content tools—to keep our SEO and website content competitive.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
7+ years of experience in SEO, website management, or digital content strategy.
Strong knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Conductor, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4).
Experience with CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager preferred).
Solid understanding of GEO and AEO concepts, and how to apply them to improve visibility and engagement across AI‑driven search and content ecosystems.
Strong understanding of UX, site architecture, and web accessibility standards.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Proven ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Experience managing teams and agency partners.
