Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dealership’s finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing customer payments, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring that all financial transactions related to vehicle sales, service, and parts are accurately recorded.

Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of account principles and accounts receivable functions, with a basic understanding of dealership operations (vehicle, sales, service, parts) preferred.
Proficiency in dealership management software (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds).
Experience with general accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer service focus.
Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion and confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Full-time, in-office position.
Standard dealership business hours with possibility of occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., month-end or year-end close).
Education And Experience
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or dealership finance roles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Generate and process customer invoices for vehicle sales, service work, parts, and accessories.
Collaborate with the sales, service, and parts departments to ensure timely and accurate billing.
Process customer payments, including cash, checks, credit card transactions, and financing arrangements.
Apply payments correctly to customer accounts and reconcile daily receipts with bank deposits.
Monitor overdue customer accounts and initiate follow-up communications.
Provide excellent customer service and send out monthly customer statements.
Assist with generating regular accounts receivable aging reports and help track overdue accounts.
Support the month-end closing process and prepare financial reports for management.
Ensure all accounts receivable transactions are properly documented and comply with dealership policies.
