Chairman, Department of Urology ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Faculty position reporting to Chairman, Department of Urology, who reports to Head of the Division of Surgery. GENERAL DUTIES

Provides clinical expertise in patient care management with emphasis in Urinary Tract Reconstruction, Voiding Dysfunction and General Urology. Provides an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents, and students in Urology. Provides expertise in clinical and/or translational research. RESPONSIBILITIES

Administration: Serve on institutional committees as requested; attend meetings; review documents. Patient Care: Provide state-of-the-art Urinary Tract Reconstructive and General Urology surgical procedures for patients. Education / Teaching: Provide balanced and integrated educational program in Urinary Tract Reconstruction, Voiding Dysfunction, and General Urology principles and techniques; attend teaching conferences. Research: Actively engage in clinical research and scholarly activity; develop clinical research programs; synthesize information; instruct research personnel. Service: Represent Department in local, regional, state, and national matters; participate in community-based tumor boards and conferences; represent MD Anderson at community events and educational forums; practice clinical medicine in standards set by Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and American College of Physicians; maintain exemplary clinical practice; conduct clinical consultative practice; provide physician staffing; review coding; complete documentation; correspond with physicians; keep abreast of approaches; request consultations; serve as role model; peer review; maintain intense interpersonal relationships; support infrastructure security compliance. QUALIFICATIONS

Education: MD or DO; successful completion of fellowship focused on Urinary Tract and Pelvic Reconstruction; robotic privileges at current institution. License / Certification: Licensed to practice medicine in Texas; current CPR, BCLS or ACLS; board certified in Urology or timely progression toward certification. Experience: At least 2 years prior clinical experience focusing on Urinary Tract Reconstruction, Voiding Dysfunction, and/or Genitourinary Prosthetics. BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

Target base salary of $405,390 to $499,721; incentive compensation; comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, retirement benefits; relocation support; employee status: regular; exempt from overtime; work location: onsite; FLSA exempt. EEO STATEMENT
