What you can expect
You can expect to play a key role in shaping the future of Zoom Contact Centre platform. As a Software Engineer, you'll work on high‑impact, scalable services that support millions of users globally. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams, contribute to architecture decisions while staying hands‑on in development.
About the Team Zoom Contact Center is Zoom’s next‑generation cloud‑based customer engagement platform. We provide intelligent, scalable, and real‑time communication solutions for enterprises of all sizes. Our mission is to build a seamless experience that empowers support and sales teams to better serve customers—through voice, video, chat, and beyond.
Responsibilities
Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Implementing and improving monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health, availability, and observability.
Working closely with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver high‑quality features to customers.
Building and maintaining integrations with storage and search systems including MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
Participating in on‑call rotations, proactively responding to production incidents, and driving root cause analysis and long‑term fixes.
Supporting CI/CD pipelines, automating tests, and ensuring production system health and stability.
Participating in system design reviews, code reviews, and technical deep dives.
Triaging customer issues and contributing to long‑term platform quality and performance.
What we’re looking for
Have a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or a foreign equivalent).
Have 5+ years of experience building large‑scale distributed systems in Java, with solid experience in Spring Boot framework.
Have experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
Able to design and maintain RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
Have experience with CI/CD, containerization, and cloud‑native development (e.g., AWS ECS, S3, ElasticCache).
Have experience with performance optimization, multithreading, caching strategies, and scalability techniques.
Have the ability to clearly communicate and collaborate skills with a focus on practical execution.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings Minimum: $98,900.00
Maximum: $228,700.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
