We are seeking a Field Services HVAC Technician to support Butterfly, an energy management client focused on reducing energy consumption across retail and restaurant facilities. This mobile role involves light maintenance, inspections, and energy audits of rooftop HVAC units (RTUs) and other systems within a two‑hour radius of Washington, DC. Technicians return home nightly and are provided with a company vehicle, tools, uniform, and fuel card. Key Responsibilities

Perform inspections and light maintenance on rooftop HVAC units (RTUs), typically ranging from 5 to 20 tons. Conduct energy audits using metering devices and complete Butterfly’s reporting worksheets. Replace filters, clean coils, clear drains, and perform minor repairs (e.g., belts, economizers). Troubleshoot HVAC issues and provide detailed findings to contractors for resolution. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements (e.g., LED upgrades). Coordinate and verify contractor repairs and ensure post‑repair functionality. Maintain accurate work orders and documentation. Follow ABM and client safety protocols and procedures. Technical Scope

HVAC (70%): Commercial/light commercial systems including RTUs, split systems, and mini splits. Electrical (20%): Basic understanding of electrical distribution, including 277V single‑phase and 480V three‑phase systems. Plumbing & Carpentry (10%): Minor tasks as needed during site visits. Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of HVAC experience, including at least 2 years in commercial or light commercial environments. Universal EPA 608 Certification (CFC Universal) required. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards. Ability to safely use ladders and access rooftops (e.g., roof hatches, 32‑ft ladder setup). Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively. Travel & Schedule

Operates within a two‑hour radius of Washington, DC. No overnight travel; technicians return home daily. Company vehicle, fuel card, EZ Pass, and tools provided. Paid from “port to port” (on the clock from departure to return). Compensation & Benefits
