HUCKEYE HEALTH SERVICES LLC is hiring: Phlebotomist in Fresno

Location: Fresno, CA | Full-time, Day/Night Rotations, Holidays

The VA Central California Health Care System is seeking Certified Phlebotomists to provide onsite laboratory services at the Fresno VA Medical Center, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine (P&LM) Service. This role supports Veteran care by performing venipunctures, collecting, labeling, and processing specimens, and maintaining strict infection control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy for inpatients, outpatients, and clinic settings

• Prepare and handle specimens accurately for testing

• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and VA policies

• Ensure quality control, infection prevention, and lab safety standards

• Participate in mandatory training and continuing education

Qualifications:

• Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician certificate

• Minimum 6 months of clinical or hospital venipuncture experience

• Current BLS (ACLS preferred)

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

• Strong English communication skills

Contract Details:

• Base: 4 months + 4 optional months (total 8 months)

COMPENSATION: $23.00 per hour
