Position Overview UC Riverside's Campus Business Services is recruiting for a Media Communications Specialist. The full salary range for the Media Communications Specialist is $75,900 - $137,300 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $91,250 annually. Under the direction of the Director of Campus Business Services, the Media Communications Specialist manages the non-print/digital elements of a broad "omnichannel" marketing program for Auxiliary Services. Responsibilities

Update and maintain digital assets, including websites, public-facing display screens (R'Talk), email communication, and R'Space/R'Web ads. Assist Auxiliary Services department staff with social media strategies and content. Pursue new digital communication channels on campus and in the surrounding community. Serve Auxiliary Services clients, including Housing, Dining & Hospitality Services, Transportation Services, Early Childhood Services, Campus Business Services, and Auxiliary Budget & Finance, as well as other university departments that contract for services. Conduct evaluation and research for projects related to effective marketing programs, brand development, new media design, photography, and strategic planning. Ensure compliance with University policies, department protocols, and marketing trends. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training. 4 - 7 years of related experience. Experience in graphic design, marketing, and/or web design and development. Experience navigating and posting to social media sites, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Flickr, and Pinterest. Experience as a photographer, including lighting, composition, retouching, photo-illustration, photo-manipulation, and photo editing. Experience working with website Content Management Systems (such as Drupal or WordPress) and web authoring and development tools. Working knowledge of web coding schemes, including HTML5 and CSS. Experience creating and editing short videos and animated graphics using Adobe Premiere and Adobe AfterEffects. Knowledge of current social media platforms and strategies. Solid written, verbal, interpersonal communications and active listening skills. Knowledge of printing process and related production activities. Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the organization, its mission, vision, goals, policies, and practices, and a strong knowledge of current affairs and issues in higher education. Basic photography and videography using a DSLR camera. Equal Opportunity Statement
