Show Tech/Stage Manager I
Join Stone Mountain Park as a Show Tech/Stage Manager I. The role primarily operates sound and SFX boards for seasonal entertainment productions and assists with the load-in and strike of productions.
Base Pay Range $14.00/hr - $14.00/hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operating SFX, sound, and A/V equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment and determine appropriate solutions.
Facilitate all segments of productions to ensure quality and efficiency of production.
Communicate areas of need, current venue status, and show program information to Technical Lead.
Maintain professional image and demeanor at all times. Ability to interact with guests and professionally address guest concerns.
Assist with maintaining clean work and theatre spaces.
Assist in communication between leadership, performers, and ushers regarding show duties and needs.
Ability to assist with mascot performance and safety.
Management of ushers (communicate duties, show times, and performance needs).
Understanding or ability to acquire basic theatrical vocabulary (cue, onstage, pre-show, etc.).
Willingness and ability to learn the operation of and operate floats during seasonal Parades.
Additional Duties
Assist with installing/striking of venues.
Assisting in various tasks (painting, building, etc.) through production hours granted by Leadership on a need basis.
Assemble new lighting and sound equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
Must understand, read, write, and speak the English language.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for shifts, rehearsals, and trainings.
Must have understanding/ability to operate basic lighting and/or sound software programs.
Must have understanding of and be able to perform basic troubleshooting of mic packs.
Must have understanding of dynamics of sound in varying environments.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple tasks at a time.
Must be able to work in a creative environment involving entertainers.
Education and/Or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Technical or college education preferred.
Minimum 1 year experience in operation of sound system in a live performance environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation to and within the park.

Must be able to work at heights at or above 20 feet.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, or vibration.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will possibly be exposed to animals via contracted shows or in the wild.
