YOU WILL BE The Vice President (VP) of Growth Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of all paid media channels across Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman, deploying ~$350MM budget to maximize ROI and sales growth across our brand stores and sites. This position will lead the growth marketing teams across display, video, paid social, affiliate, SEM, SEO, retention, and promotional marketing efforts, with a strong focus on maximizing the reach, impact, and ROI of our marketing campaigns.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Strategic Leadership Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of growth marketing efforts for Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman. Partner with the CMO and other senior leaders to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with company objectives and drive both short-term and long-term business growth. Own the strategy and performance of all paid media channels, including but not limited to display, paid social, affiliate, SEM, SEO, retention, and promotional marketing.
Team Leadership and Development Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing growth marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to direct reports, ensuring they have the resources, tools, and knowledge to execute successful campaigns. Promote a data-driven, collaborative environment that encourages cross-functional alignment with teams such as Product, Creative, and Analytics.
Campaign Planning, Execution & Optimization Oversee the planning, buying, and optimization of growth marketing campaigns across key paid media channels. Drive performance marketing efforts to acquire new customers, retain existing ones, and maximize customer lifetime value (CLV). Leverage data and analytics to continuously optimize campaigns and channels, ensuring maximum ROI and efficiency. Set clear KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success of growth marketing initiatives and ensure they are met or exceeded.
Budget Management & Forecasting Own the growth marketing budget for Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across paid media channels. Work closely with the finance team to develop accurate forecasts and deliver marketing ROI on investment. Monitor and optimize budget expenditures to ensure maximum impact and performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with product, creative, analytics, and technology teams to ensure the successful execution of growth marketing strategies. Partner with the e-commerce and merchandising teams to align marketing initiatives with product launches, seasonal campaigns, and inventory management. Work with the customer experience team to ensure that growth marketing strategies align with and support customer retention and satisfaction goals.
Innovation and Industry Leadership Stay ahead of emerging trends in the marketing and e-commerce landscape, particularly in paid media, customer acquisition, and retention strategies. Champion the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve the effectiveness of growth marketing initiatives. Represent the company at key industry events, building relationships with industry leaders and staying up-to-date on best practices.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or a similar role, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position. Extensive experience managing and optimizing paid media channels including display, paid social, affiliate, SEM, SEO, retention, and promotional marketing. Proven track record of driving significant growth through data-driven, performance-based marketing strategies. Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies. Experience with budget management, forecasting, and delivering ROI-driven results. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present data and strategies to executive leadership. Highly analytical with a strong ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
Comfortable to work up to 4 days a week in our NYC or Dallas office
