Scope of Role The Human Resources Generalist performs professional‑level duties across one or more manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the HR Generalist collaborates with plant leadership and HR teams to develop and implement strategic and operational human resources programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with hiring managers, HR business partners, and talent acquisition to coordinate recruiting efforts for the plant location, validate approvals, manage new hire pre‑start activities, and maintain communication.

Lead pre‑start activities such as ordering equipment, completing induction plans, facilitate orientation, 30‑60‑90‑day check‑ins and support engagement initiatives to deliver a positive employee experience.

Own Dayforce HRIS transactions, maintain data integrity, and report on workforce trends.

Administer leave of absence (FMLA, ADA, etc.) and coordinate follow‑ups for employees and 3rd‑party administrator.

Manage off‑boarding process: exit interviews, payroll/benefits implications, return of company assets, IT changes.

Provide employee policy guidance, first‑level employee relations investigations, coaching managers on counseling and disciplinary actions.

Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I‑9, maintain equitable compensation practices, and assist with employee relations counseling.

Provide project management and administrative support for local HR activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.

3+ years of professional level Human Resources experience.

Proficiency with HRIS/HCM systems and Microsoft Suite.

Manufacturing or related industry experience preferred.

SHRM certification preferred.

Highly accurate, detail oriented, results‑driven, strong communication, critical thinking, independent judgment.

Expected to report to work on‑site located in Ballinger, Texas, Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
