Overview Lead Engineer - Electronic Hardware: Performing tasks for any portion in the design lifecycle of a circuit card assembly. Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.
Location: Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL. This position offers a blend of onsite and hybrid work arrangements and necessitates a presence in the office for 2-3 days each week. An extensive corporate relocation package is available for eligible candidates.
Responsibilities
Architect moderately complex avionic computer hardware systems including digital and analog components.
Design, simulate, and verify circuit card assemblies (CCA) and manage requirements with the applicable tool.
Prepare documentation for product development and certifications.
Test and integrate CCAs installed in chassis.
Broaden knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy.
Understand how the work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the business.
May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
Resolve issues requiring good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
Consult more senior team members for issues outside defined instructions/parameters.
Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical information to others.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of related experience).
GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
Desired Characteristics
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Knowledge of board-level digital design process from schematic capture to verification.
Strong professional technical writing and communication skills.
Ability to break down complex problems and apply critical thinking.
Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise and Hyperlinx PI/SI.
Familiarity with OrCAD PSPICE or LTspice, Mathcad, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Visio.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this position is $90,800.00 – $121,100.00. Specific pay offered may be influenced by experience, education, and skill set. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary. The posting is expected to close on 10/31/2025.
