Andrews & Cole is seeking a degreed Engineer for a Manufacturing Engineering opportunity in central Kansas. Under the general supervision and guidance of the Engineering Manager or senior engineer to whom assigned, you will perform a variety of functions in the development and/or improvement of production methods, processes, machines, automation/ interface, equipment, and tooling designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with major engineering projects, independently handle less complex portions of projects, and complete tasks as assigned.
• Work collectively with Quality, Production, Maintenance and others to improving manufacturing methods and reduce costs.
• Make recommendations regarding product design from the standpoint of manufacturing engineering. Participate in the implementation of new methods, equipment, machines and tooling.
• Continuously seek out, evaluate, and present areas for improvement to quality, cost, performance, and environmental impact.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial with two (2) to seven (7) years experience in a manufacturing plant, machinery design, continuous improvement, and operational/functional analysis.
• Experience with limited project leadership (small capital projects)
• Requires knowledge of: machine, equipment and tool design; manufacturing methods and equipment, including materials handling; and specific aspects of product design, quality control and costs.
