Job Role The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all inbound and outbound shipments, inventory tracking, kitting, and mobilization support for field and shop operations. This position leads a team and builds structured systems to manage materials across multiple departments and locations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and experienced in logistics.
Key Duties
Develop and implement a structured material management program company-wide
Define and manage material flow, distribution rules, and storage systems across facilities
Eliminate single points of failure by coordinating departmental responsibilities
Cross-train shipping/receiving team for maximum flexibility and performance
Oversee and verify all incoming and outgoing shipments
Match shipment contents to purchase orders and packing slips
Coordinate logistics with freight carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Implement inventory control procedures and material handling systems
Lead warehouse team and provide performance coaching
Generate KPIs for shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy
Align warehouse operations with procurement and production needs
Conduct regular safety and operational inspections
Manage job mobilization kitting and tooling distribution
Support shop and field material logistics as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
5-10 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or construction management
Experience using inventory management systems
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read tape measures
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Willingness to work some Saturdays and overtime
Comfortable in shop environments with varying temperatures and PPE
Must pass a motor vehicle check
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally
Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time
Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise)
Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for most of the shift
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools accurately and safely
Preferences
Experience in logistics coordination or field mobilization within an industrial or construction setting
Familiarity with lean inventory systems and warehouse safety protocols
Strong background in process development and improvement
