Job Overview Our company is seeking a skilled

VP, Principal Engineer

to help with the development of many projects that span different technologies and requirements. You will be working with a motivated team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of onshore and offshore developers to architect, build, deploy, and support best-in-class software solutions for internal and external customers.

Manage multiple concurrent projects estimate, plan and slice projects to deliver frequent value to production.

Leverage technical expertise and the latest tech stack to implement software development best practices. Implement Application resiliency, scalability and performance design.

Collaborate across business units and product teams to build product vision and deliver business value.

Work actively with quality assurance engineer teams, Release Management, DevOps to ensure all SDLC processes are adhered to.

Manage day-to-day activities of POD using Agile/Scrum methodology.

Develop technical documentation to define the system components and workflows.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of experience of full-stack development with .NET, C#, SQL, databases and front-end languages such as AngularJS (ideally version 8+) or ReactJS, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JSON.

Developer with minimum 10+ years of extensive design and implementation of complex systems in Web, .NET stack and web services (REST/SOAP).

Minimum of 5 years of experience and a strong understanding of SOA principles and design patterns.

Minimum of 2 years of experience of AWS Cloud services - EC2, Load Balancer, Security Group, Lambda, S3, Glue.

Expertise with Source Control such as GIT or TFS. CI/CD experience with TeamCity/Octopus.

Core Competencies

Excellent knowledge of and experience with object-oriented concepts and design patterns.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Motivated and driven by achieving long-term business outcomes.

Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools.

Experience in deploying, operating, and managing services in AWS or other cloud environments.

Preferences

Python, Terraform scripting - also great to have.

Experience working with source control tools like TFS, GIT etc.

Work with a cloud-native stack, build on AWS, and use technologies like Kubernetes.

Write automated test cases to ensure the correctness, responsiveness, and efficiency of the software product.

Good Understanding of Document Object Model (DOM) and DOM Functions.

Experience with DevOps, including source control, release management, and continuous integration.

Financial service preferred.

This role is a hybrid position requiring being on-site 2-3 days/week in an LPL preferred office, Charlotte/Fort Mill, San Diego, or NYC/Midtown.

Pay Range $155,288-$258,813/year. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
