Principal Engineer I - Azure Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and support of Azure cloud solutions within the banking environment.
What You’ll Do
Design and deploy scalable Azure services that meet the business and regulatory requirements.
Lead the technical design and architecture of new cloud initiatives and enhance existing cloud solutions.
Collaborate with data analysts, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and drive solution delivery.
Mentor junior engineers and share best practices for cloud engineering and secure architecture.
Document system designs, present to technical review boards, and publish engineering standards.
Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation to provide escalation support for incident, problem, and change management processes.
What You’ll Need
8+ years of related experience with a strong background in Azure cloud engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s or MBA preferred.
Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Azure Administrator Associate.
Advanced knowledge of financial services banking and applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations.
Expert experience managing large and complex migration projects and disaster recovery/HA designs.
Hands‑on experience with PowerShell, automation (IaC), and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, AppDynamics).
Strong communication skills and ability to present to technical and non‑technical audiences.
