The selected candidate will lead a team of GN&C Software Systems Engineers in the planning, execution, tracking, and technical problem solving of Software Requirements and Design (CSSAM/RVAM) as part of a larger AVE GN&C Software Development group. The candidate’s role will be as a GN&C Software Engineer. This is a position that requires both technical understanding and program management skills — a deep understanding of the software engineering life cycle as it relates to embedded systems as well as Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of experience Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need 5 years of experience with Agile, Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket and working in cross-functional Scrum team 5 years of experience leading Software Engineering teams with the ability to team plan, execute, and manage the technical scope, and support leadership planning 5 years of experience in software development using languages such as C/C++, Python 5 years of experience with MBSE, software design & requirement management 5 years of experience with software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance 5 years of experience in directing software/system architecture decisions and developing command and control software 1 year of experience as a Work Package Lead (WPL) tracking and managing schedule and performance Preferred Qualifications
Experience in planning, executing, tracking the work of multi-discipline teams via Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc) Experience in identifying and implementing requirements and architecture traceability at the Segment to CSCI boundary Experience mentoring and developing junior-level engineers Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with DO-178C Flight Critical Systems Safety programming Experience with certification, airworthiness, testing, and qualification of flight and safety critical systems CAM certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of start date Additional Information #Sentinelsoftware Primary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
