Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the ReStore, including inventory management, pricing, and placement of merchandise. Maintain a safe work and retail environment by collaborating with the Assistant Manager to enforce safety procedures. Coordinate volunteer integration by working with the Volunteer Manager and providing direction to the Assistant Manager for supervision and training. Implement the annual business plan and operating budget, delegating responsibilities to the Assistant Manager where appropriate. Supervise and mentor ReStore staff and volunteers, including direct oversight of the Assistant Manager to align with organizational goals. Manage floor stock levels and replenishment processes in partnership with the Assistant Manager and the Donations Manager. Plan, set, and maintain merchandising standards, ensuring proper store layout, displays, and signage. Collaborate with the Communications Department to execute sales and marketing strategies that achieve sales goals, supporting promotions and special events. Control store expenses to achieve assigned profit goals, monitoring day‑to‑day cost control practices with the Assistant Manager. Oversee the ReStore building, exterior grounds, and equipment, assigning and supervising maintenance tasks with the Assistant Manager. Generate required record‑keeping and reports, delegating operational reports to the Assistant Manager as appropriate. Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling oversight in partnership with the ReStore Operations Manager and the Assistant Manager. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, nonprofit management, or related field (preferred; equivalent experience considered). Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a ReStore, thrift store, or retail management environment. Experience supervising and developing staff in a retail or service environment. Strong leadership, team‑building, and delegation skills with the ability to mentor. General business knowledge including budgeting, expense control, and sales forecasting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and motivate staff, volunteers, and customers. Knowledge of merchandising, inventory management, and retail best practices. Commitment to safety standards and ability to enforce policies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, POS systems, and ability to learn new software as needed. Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure. Customer service–oriented with the ability to build relationships with diverse groups. Pay range: $32.90 – $36.00. Schedule: Tuesday‑Saturday with 8‑hour shifts varying within the 8:30 am‑6:15 pm timeframe.
