Finance Business Partner – E-Commerce

Finance BP and Business FP&A is a sub‑department of Finance focused on improving management efficiency, driving key revenue initiatives, reducing financial risks and strengthening budget control through business analysis and management reports. This role supports the E‑Commerce business unit in the Americas as it expands its footprint. Responsibilities

Partnership:

Become a trusted member of the leadership team and provide financial strategy guidance to the executive team. Analytics & business support:

Conduct analyses to drive revenue optimization, improve expense management and overall P&L; develop recommendations and present to leadership for implementation. Management reporting preparation:

Participate in monthly closing for management reporting, organize business reviews and drive insights from financial and operational data. Projections & forecasts:

Assist finance business partners in collecting, producing financial projections and forecasts to ensure alignment with business fundamentals. Financial operations:

Develop and manage systems to support E‑Commerce financial operations by partnering with operations, product, sales, marketing and accounting teams. Capital allocation & contract approval:

Review procurement applications and financial terms in contracts to ensure efficient capital allocation. Cross‑functional collaboration:

Cooperate with general ledger, accounts payable, taxation and other finance teams. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Proven experience in corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, strategy, and/or FP&A. Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and financial analysis; advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders. Strong logical reasoning and critical thinking abilities. Demonstrated team player who collaborates effectively across functions and is skilled at building and maintaining cross‑functional relationships. Self‑motivated, agile, and resilient in a fast‑paced environment; high sense of ownership and accountability. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a technology company. Proficiency in SQL is highly desirable. About ByteDance

Compensation:

Base salary range $111,467 – $205,169 annually. Additional discretionary bonuses and restricted stock units may be awarded. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid parental leave; short‑term and long‑term disability coverage; life insurance; wellbeing benefits; 10 paid holidays; 10 paid sick days; 17 days of Paid Personal Time.
