As a
Sr. Claims Manager
this position is responsible for all claims management for multiple automotive manufacturers (OEMs) and reports to the General Manager of Finished Vehicle Operations. The role oversees the entire claims operation which includes transportation, warranty, auction, and major damage/total loss claims. Focus on performance metrics, process improvements, customer relations, accurate disposition of claims, collections, and ensuring customer satisfaction in all areas.

Position Responsibilities
Supervise all Senior Claim’s Analysts and Claims Analysts for the Claims Department.
Interface with multiple OEMs high-level management and implement programs to continuously improve claims processes.
Achieve target performance metrics provided by customers and provide weekly/monthly/annual reports to both customers and VASCOR management.
Facilitate and present KPI/Metric data to multiple OEMs, ensuring business line needs are prioritized for quick results.
Resolve collection or process issues between carriers, inspection companies, yard management companies and the OEM; interface with insurance companies regarding specific damage and total loss claims.
Understand OEM escalation processes and negotiate with suppliers when directed by OEMs.
Interface with OEMs accounting department and provide transaction reports for reconciliation.
Apply legal and contractual principles to claims events on behalf of the OEM.
Work with VASCOR IT, Supplier IT, and OEM IT to resolve interface issues and identify additional interfaces for streamlining.
Continuously train and improve employee business skills; maintain work instructions and participate in industry meetings.
Create and facilitate new initiatives for the Claims Department such as internships and Kaizens.
Supervisory Responsibilities Overall direction, coordination and evaluation of multiple OEM claims. Manage employees, maintain customer and supplier relationships, conduct interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, discipline, and problem resolution.
Essential Skills And Experience Education & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Training & Knowledge:
Working knowledge of transportation and warranty claims processes within automotive and general freight industries; knowledge of legal and regulatory issues related to claims; understanding of accounting principles as they relate to claim processes and reconciliation.
Skills:
Strong negotiation skills; ability to build supplier relationships; experience with body shops, estimating process, and damage thresholds; automotive claims processing, catastrophic claim processing, and warranty claim processing.
Experience:
Multiple years processing claims and management skills needed; automotive experience required with understanding of claim processing for OEMs, carriers, port processors, and inspection companies.
Physical Demands And Work Environment Primarily an office environment with little travel. Must be able to travel if necessary. Professionals expected to maintain a professional manner and dress code. Guided by OEM office policies.
Remote/Location Remote position.
