TrueCommerce is seeking a Data Architect with 7+ years of experience to design and optimize our enterprise data warehouse and ecosystem. This role will be pivotal in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that integrate with a diverse ecosystem of internal and external systems.
Responsibilities
Define, design, and implement the overall data architecture strategy to improve data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives
Design scalable data models, schemas, and storage solutions for structured and unstructured datasets using Snowflake.
Establish data governance, security, and compliance standards
Partner with Data Engineers to design efficient data pipelines that ensure reliable, high-quality data
Lead and execute data migration and consolidation initiatives, including legacy system decommissioning, schema transformation, and validation across cloud and on-prem environments
Collaborate with business stakeholders and leaders to ensure data systems support both customer-facing analytics and internal operational needs
Optimize data performance and scalability across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Define and enforce data governance, security, and quality standards across the organization, document and educate teams on data governance best practices and standards
Evaluate and implement new technologies that enhance the data ecosystem
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required; Masters preferred (Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management or related field)
7+ years in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Database Administration roles, ideally within SaaS, ERP, or EDI technology companies
Strong hands‑on experience with designing data solutions using Snowflake
Expertise in data modeling
Strong SQL and database design experience (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
Proficiency with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
Knowledge of data governance, MDM (Master Data Management), and security frameworks
Experience with data integration tools and APIs (Informatica, Talend, dbt, or custom-built)
Strong communication and documentation skills for cross‑team collaboration
