Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The Operators will have a chance to contribute to key industrial biotechnology development and biomanufacturing projects, helping to execute bioprocess deployment and operations. This role involves working in the rapidly growing industries of Synthetic Biology and Cell-Cultured Products, aiming to make the production of food, cosmetic ingredients, and other key products more sustainable. Bioprocess Operators will interact with scientists, engineers, other operators, and managers to deliver tangible value for the company's stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Follow Biomanufacturing Standard Operating Procedures: Run and help improve bioprocesses on the plant floor under the guidance of engineers and managers.

Learn New Biotech Operations Skillsets: Cultivate, develop, and grow skillsets for the Synthetic Biology and Cell-Cultured Products industries.

Contribute to Sustainability Goals: Involve and contribute to expanding carbon-neutral corporate goals, including maintaining sustainable energy and water reclamation projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Willing to work hard and learn new skills quickly.

Good understanding of hygiene in an industrial biotech and/or food & beverage environment.

Experience with fermentation or cell culturing in environments like wineries, breweries, dairies, or food manufacturing.

Attentive to detail, observant, able to focus on assigned tasks, hardworking, and responsible.

Work Environment

Indoor, Cleanroom, Climate Controlled environment with flexible shift times: 1st shift from 8am-5pm, 2nd shift from 3:30pm-12:30am, and 3rd shift from 12am-10am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norton, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
