to support cutting‑edge research in speech and language development. This role is a key staff position that interacts with students, postdocs, and patients to recruit participants, run behavioral tests, and preprocess data across multiple modalities.

Responsibilities
Coordinate with collaborating sites at Dell Children’s Medical Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, and UCSF to transfer and organize incoming patient data using secure file transfer protocols.
Recruit subjects for research protocols and run behavioral tasks with patient participants, students, postdocs, and PI.
Assess patient eligibility for studies, assist during data collection, and collect data independently.
Perform neuroimaging analysis with Python tools and FreeSurfer to localize electrodes from CT and MRI scans in patients with epilepsy.
Perform data analysis in Python, MATLAB, and FreeSurfer, and maintain databases and organization.
Maintain lab website and patient‑facing website and materials.
Required Qualifications
Familiarity with standard office software.
Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Linux, Unix, Mac OS, Windows).
Organized, detail‑oriented, good record‑keeping.
Good interpersonal skills and communication ability, including with children.
Some programming experience in Matlab, Python or similar software.
Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with human subjects research.
Experience working with patients in a hospital setting.
Experience working with children.
Some experience working with databases.
Experience in working with MRI images.
Experience working with electrophysiology data (EEG, intracranial EEG, or other types).
Experience in editing and developing websites.
Salary & Benefits
Annual salary range: $60,245.54 (Step 1) – $72,003.03 (Step 10).
Full‑time (40 hours/week), career position eligible for UC Benefits.
Exempt, monthly‑paid position.
Full UC Benefits package available on the University of California Compensation & Benefits website.
