About You We’re looking for a growth‑stage ready Staff Software Engineer focused on our Backend systems to join our Platform Engineering team, responsible for connecting our best in class logistics platform into users’ daily workflows. This role will design and implement high leverage, high performance technical processes and systems.

What You’ll Do

Design and develop platform capabilities enabling integrations with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Lead efforts to optimize service orchestration, data flow, and performance.

Drive high standards for security, testability, observability, and deployment automation.

Architect high volume systems that will support hundreds of thousands of patients.

Design and maintain modern, developer‑friendly APIs and SDKs and documentation.

Collaborate with and lead other engineers to build performant, scalable, and secure systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.

7‑10+ years of software engineering experience.

Expertise building backend systems in Python (1‑2 years) and Node + TypeScript (1‑2 years).

Hands‑on experience designing relational database schemas and migrations for scalability, extensibility, performance, and stability.

Experience managing customer‑facing APIs through versioning, deprecation cycles, and customer migration paths.

Proven ability to diagnose and fix performance bottlenecks in database‑backed applications.

Working knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and build systems.

Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders.

Experience working in high growth, fast‑paced startup environments.

Nice to Haves

Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and/or healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR / HL7).

Experience building systems managing HIPAA compliant data or similar compliance‑driven industries with data security requirements.

Experience building scalable, observable distributed systems.

Experience building ETL pipelines to extract from multiple source systems and load into cloud‑based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) to support analytics and reporting needs across the organization.
