Software Packaging Systems Engineer – Location: Remote with a high preference for candidates local to the DC, MD, VA area. Citizenship Required: Yes. Clearance Type: Secret. Positions Available: 1. This role focuses on reliable application delivery, automation, and consistency across desktops, servers, and cloud platforms. Primary Duties
Build, test, and deploy software packages for Windows, Linux, and other enterprise platforms. Maintain and update packaging standards, templates, and deployment tools. Collaborate with IT, development, and application teams to ensure smooth application delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve packaging or deployment issues in a timely manner. Automate packaging and deployment workflows using scripts or configuration management tools. Document packaging procedures, generate reports, and maintain an organized repository of software packages. Support software lifecycle management, including updates, patches, and retirements. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree 3+ years of experience Ability to work independently, multi-task, and communicate effectively US Citizen with an active Secret security clearance Strong knowledge of software packaging tools such as MSI, App-V, SCCM, Intune, or similar Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) Familiarity with application lifecycle management and enterprise deployment processes Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Benefits
