Bike Mechanic – The New Wheel
We are looking for skilled bike mechanics who gain joy through helping riders get the most out of their bikes! If you are passionate about working for a company that believes in supporting the wellbeing of our planet and enjoy learning about the e‑bike industry, this job is for you.
Base Pay $22.00/hr – $32.00/hr
Duties
Apply shop standards in the assembly and repair of bikes across the full product line.
Meet or exceed shop production standards.
Complete paperwork accurately and fully, record parts used, and process to next status.
Record and report any deficiencies not addressed by the repair work to the customer or appropriate leader.
Operate cash register as necessary.
Maintain shop cleanliness and inventory reporting.
Assemble new bicycles, install, repair and replace accessories.
Align wheels, disassemble axles, adjust brakes and install new tires and tubes.
Clean, lubricate and build wheels; evaluate mechanical condition and estimate cost of repairs.
Provide an educated assessment for a bicycle repair with an estimated completion date.
Other duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience preferred as a technician/mechanic in a bike shop.
Previous bike assembly experience or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain open and positive relations with coworkers, partners, and customers.
Interest in developing own skills and knowledge.
Ability to periodically lift 75 pounds.
