Director of Quality Assurance

is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining processes and practices within the quality management system that help the organization achieve the highest quality standards possible and minimize product defects. This role integrates all quality-connected functions into a Quality System to support manufacturing operations in providing quality products that fulfill customer needs at a minimum cost. You will develop, communicate and coordinate the execution of all company quality programs and provide leadership to the Quality Assurance department. What we do

Establish, implement and maintain processes and practices within the quality management system to ensure processes deliver their intended outputs Report on the performance of the quality management system and identify opportunities for improvement to top management Promote a customer-focused organization Maintain the integrity of the quality management system when changes are planned and implemented Develop and manage policies, procedures and practices to ensure organizational compliance with internal and external (customer and government) quality requirements and specifications Ensure awareness and conformity to AS 9100, ISO, Nadcap, and customer requirements Ensure appropriate employees obtain required training and certification in applicable quality assurance programs Collaborate with key customers on quality issues and during audits or certifications Provide leadership for the Quality Assurance department Report performance of the quality management system and any needs for improvement to the Executive team Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field required 8+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role required; aerospace experience strongly preferred Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ, Lean Six Sigma certifications strongly preferred Attention to detail Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with outside customers Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Ability to work with others through complex situations Working knowledge of ISO/AS9100/Nadcap and customer requirements What we offer
