Senior Software Engineer – Platform Infrastructure

What You Can Expect We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who loves working deep in the infrastructure stack. Someone who can combine successful systems thinking with modern cloud‑native development.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and scale Zoom’s multi‑cloud infrastructure across AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Contribute to cloud governance, cost optimization, and security frameworks.
Develop and maintain Kubernetes Operators, custom controllers, and other platform automation in Go.
Architect high‑availability and self‑healing systems that support millions of real‑time connections. Build internal infrastructure services (provisioning, configuration, observability, policy enforcement).
Partner with DevOps and Product Engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience. Champion infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) and drive automation using tools like Terraform, Helm.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering roles.
Proficiency in Go (Golang) for building distributed and concurrent systems.
Keen understanding of Kubernetes internals (controllers, CRDs, Operators, etc.). Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or OCI—including IAM, networking, and service deployment.
Experience delivering containerization, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and systems‑level design skills.
Compensation Salary Range:
$124,000.00 – $271,200.00
