Overview

North Shore Associates in Gynecology and Obstetrics is expanding and seeking an additional full-time Certified Nurse Midwife. Currently, the practice includes six certified nurse midwives (5.25 FTE). The ideal candidate would be a 1.0 FTE provider who sees patients in two office locations (Wilmette and Glenview) and attends births at North Shore Hospital in Evanston. The hospital environment is supportive, with a long-standing midwifery presence. We advocate for physiological birth for both low-risk and high-risk patients, with a focus on VBAC deliveries and unmedicated birth. Our overall Cesarean Delivery Rate is 7% (2022), and we are typically awarded the ACNM Triple Aim Award based on benchmarking statistics each year. We maintain collaborative relationships with physician colleagues and expect the candidate to bring empathy, compassion, and strong labor support for both the office and labor and delivery settings.
