Mechanical Engineering Lead - Integration We are seeking a results‑driven Mechanical Engineering Lead to oversee the design, development, and manufacturing integration of cooling products such as heat exchangers, HVAC systems, liquid cooling modules, and thermal assemblies. This role bridges product development with scalable, high‑quality manufacturing, ensuring thermal systems are designed for performance, manufacturability, cost efficiency, and durability.

The compensation range for this full‑time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive, with a total compensation target of $160,000 – $200,000.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical design and manufacturing integration of thermal/cooling products throughout the product lifecycle.

Guide engineering teams on materials, structural integrity, fluid dynamics, and thermal performance optimization.

Ensure compliance with thermal performance, pressure rating, durability, and environmental requirements.

Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to implement robust, repeatable production processes.

Drive DFM/DFA activities for heat exchangers, fans, pumps, tubing, and structural housings.

Support tooling design, assembly processes, and test procedures tailored to cooling product production.

Oversee 3D modeling, tolerance stack‑ups, and detailed engineering documentation.

Perform and review thermal and structural simulations (CFD, FEA) to validate design assumptions.

Evaluate product cost, performance, and manufacturability trade‑offs.

Define and support validation protocols for cooling system performance, environmental durability, and reliability testing.

Interpret test data and drive corrective actions to meet design goals.

Lead a cross‑functional team of mechanical engineers, designers, and technicians.

Coordinate schedules, priorities, and deliverables to align with production and program milestones.

Report on design maturity, risks, and resolution plans to senior leadership.

Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

7+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or manufacturing‑focused role.

Deep understanding of cooling systems including heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

Experience with mechanical CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and analysis tools (ANSYS, FloTHERM, or similar).

Knowledge of manufacturing processes: brazing, welding, CNC machining, injection molding, and assembly operations.

Background in HVAC, electronics cooling, automotive thermal systems, or industrial heat exchangers.

Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASME standards, and product compliance testing.

Experience with ERP/PLM systems, BOM management, and product lifecycle workflows.

Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
