About the Position We are seeking a mid‑level Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EIC) Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our team supporting projects across the Oil & Gas and Utility sectors. This role will provide hands‑on design and engineering support across electrical and instrumentation/control systems while offering the opportunity to grow into more advanced technical or project roles over time.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and support complete electrical drawing packages, including one‑line diagrams, electrical area classification plans, grounding plans, lighting layouts, conduit and cable routing plans, conduit schedules, cable schedules, electrical interconnection diagrams, panel layouts, and termination drawings.

Perform basic electrical calculations such as load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, and cable/conduit sizing.

Select and specify equipment such as switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, UPS, and distribution panels.

Assist in developing bill of materials (BOMs), equipment datasheets, and supporting procurement packages.

Use electrical analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM) to assist with system studies.

General Responsibilities

Contribute to proposal support, including preliminary scope, budget, and schedule input.

Support site walkdowns and data collection for retrofit or greenfield design.

Collaborate with multi‑discipline design teams to produce coordinated drawing packages.

Interface with clients and vendors to align on scope, schedule, and technical requirements.

Participate in construction support, including RFIs, redlines, and field verifications.

Maintain quality standards by applying established processes and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred.

Master Degree can substitute as 1 year of relevant experience.

Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem‑solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.

Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.

Strong computer skills include AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D rendering programs and other analysis programs.

Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem‑solving skills.

Engineers in Training‑EIT Certification Preferred.
