Receptionist – Viva Senior Living
Full‑time position in the Caldwell office.
Responsibilities
- Receive guests and visitors, having them sign in.
- Assist visitors in finding resident rooms.
- Answer telephone and take messages (caller’s name, telephone number, time, and date of call); respond to requests and forward information to other staff members.
- Announce appointments and arrivals to appropriate staff.
- Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested.
- If requested, sort mail and distribute appropriately to mailboxes, residents, and departments.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to ensure resident rights are protected.
- Be knowledgeable about community services and rates; provide families and/or prospective residents with tours and community information.
- Assemble and maintain admission and information packets.
- Keep front desk and lobby area neat and organized.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Business Office Manager or Executive Director.
- Assist with evacuation of residents in an emergency situation.
- Participate in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Maintain the highest standards in caring for residents and their families.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Viva Senior Living’s attendance policies and employment terms as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- Comply with standards of business conduct in accordance with federal, state, and local health and regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Work well with peers in a congenial work environment; demonstrate compassion, dignity, and adherence to the Resident Bill of Rights.
- In exigent circumstances, be subject to call back during emergency conditions (severe weather, evacuation, temporary staffing shortages, etc.).
- Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, or hazardous chemicals in accordance with facility policy.
- Report work‑related injuries and illnesses immediately to supervisor.
- Complete all assigned training and skills competency.
- Participate in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings.
- Assure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
