Heavy Equipment Operator

Join Northern Recycling’s team as a full‑time Heavy Equipment Operator. The role focuses on operating and maintaining heavy machinery for construction, demolition processing, and green waste recycling.

Responsibilities

• Inspect large equipment before and after use to ensure proper operation.
• Load and unload cargo, moving it to appropriate storage areas.
• Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.
• Report needs for larger repairs to the supervisor or maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience operating heavy equipment (front end loaders, excavators, bulldozers).
• Knowledge of operating heavy equipment and safety standards.
• Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Company Overview

Northern Recycling has operated in Yolo County for over a decade, now located at the Yolo County Central Landfill. The company processes construction and demolition material and recycles green material, food waste, wood waste, and agricultural waste to create compost, mulch, and biomass fuel.
